President of Russia Vladimir Poutine: Hello, dear colleagues.
Today we hold a regular meeting of the agency's supervisory board for strategic initiatives. But first of all, I would like to thank you again for your joint work, for your efforts to promote historic projects, which give practical results and encourage the creation of national technologies, the development of advanced forms of education and staff training. , the promotion of best practices in terms of conditions for doing business, as well as a modern living environment in cities.
We created the agency almost 10 years ago. In the first nine years, you have greatly expanded your skills and potential, which, as I would like to point out, has helped us quickly launch the initiatives that people need in this difficult time of the epidemic, by providing substantial and considerable assistance to families, in particular, by organizing online learning for children, which we have discussed on several occasions, and by helping our seniors in a modern format. I would like to repeat that you have succeeded in many ways.
I have said this many times and I would like to emphasize once again - nine years ago, it was the right decision to create the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. Above all, because you always prioritize people's requests and remove barriers to basic ideas as well as business and social initiatives. You are always open to cooperation and joint work. Naturally, the number of partners you have is constantly increasing throughout Russia; their geography is wide. They include non-commercial and public organizations, universities, colleges, schools, small and medium-sized enterprises and technology entrepreneurs, and, most importantly, management teams in municipalities, regions, federal departments and agencies .
By the way, more and more experts who were involved in the agency's activities now work at different levels of government: there are deputy ministers and governors who have worked at the agency for several years. Of course, they share your vision and are now ready to implement your proposals and initiatives. This means that the agency team is strengthening, professionalizing and uniting.
I hope that in the future you will continue to act just as effectively in the key areas of the national agenda. In this sense, I would like to know your plans and potential new projects. We always talk about it at meetings like today. I also suggest focusing on issues related to creating an enabling business environment. You have been working on it for almost nine years.
On your initiative, the national ranking of the investment climate in the Russian regions is published every year. It is true that this helps to assess business conditions based on the opinion of entrepreneurs.
I would like to ask you to specify the regions which have shown good results and good trends, as well as to describe the systemic obstacles which still hamper the work of entrepreneurs.
Let's get to work.
